Straight answer first

What IT support does Computers To Go provide for dental offices?

Computers To Go supports the whole technology side of a dental office: the Dentrix or Eaglesoft server and workstations, operatory and front-desk computers, imaging computers, the network and Wi-Fi, printers and scanners, and the backups that protect patient data. When an issue belongs to the practice-management or imaging vendor, we coordinate with them so the front desk is not stuck in the middle.

Phone systems

What phone system features do dental offices need?

Dental offices typically need an auto-attendant, call recording, voicemail-to-email, mobile apps, and business texting, and Computers To Go provides all of them on our own hosted phone platform. Every install includes e911 registration and number porting, so patients keep calling the number they already have, and we install Grandstream desk phones at the front desk and in the back office.

Auto-attendant

Route callers to scheduling, billing, or a provider without tying up the front desk.

Call recording

Review calls for training and to confirm what was said to a patient.

Voicemail-to-email

After-hours messages arrive in the inbox ready for the morning huddle.

Mobile apps & texting

Answer from a cell phone and text patients from the office number.

e911

Every phone registered to your office address for emergency calls.

Number porting

Keep the number on your appointment cards and website.

What does one local provider for dental IT and phone systems cover?

One provider covers the computers, network, backups, and phone system together, which matters in a dental office because these systems depend on each other. A slow network affects charting and imaging, and a phone outage affects scheduling. The table below shows what is covered and why it matters to the practice.

Dental office technology Computers To Go supports

How does Computers To Go handle HIPAA for dental offices?

Computers To Go does dental office work with HIPAA safeguards in mind, including role-based access, timely patching, endpoint security, encryption where appropriate, and backups that are monitored and tested. We do not claim a HIPAA certification, because no official one exists for IT providers, and we are glad to discuss a business associate agreement with your practice before work begins.

Getting started

How does a dental office get started?

A dental office gets started with an assessment: we review the practice server, workstations, imaging computers, network, backups, and current phone setup, then recommend a plan with scope confirmed in writing. Onboarding is scheduled around patient hours so the office keeps seeing patients while the work is done.

Are you HIPAA certified?

There is no official government HIPAA certification for IT providers, and we do not claim one.
